Dr. Reid holds a master’s degree in social work and a doctorate in clinical psychology with a dual emphasis in Neuropsychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. He completed his post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Psychiatry at UCLA and additional post-doctoral training at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Reid recently retired from UCLA where he worked as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Research Psychologist for the past 12 years. He currently holds an adjunct appointment as a Research Professor at the University of Southern California’s Keck School of Medicine. In 2022, he was appointed by the Governor of Nevada to the State of Nevada Board of Examiners for Alcohol, Drug, and Gambling Counselors. Dr. Reid has trained hundreds of mental health professionals throughout his career and has published extensively in peer-reviewed scientific journals on addiction and mental health. He currently provides clinical services at the Gambling Addiction Treatment Center of Las Vegas, conducts research, offers expert consultation and testimony to the legal community, and mentors early-career professionals.
