Michael S. Liao

Michael is the Director of Programs for NICOS Chinese Health Coalition. For the past 20 years, Michael has been providing problem gambling training and technical assistance to community-based organizations, professional groups, and governmental agencies throughout the state of California. 

He has also authored various problem gambling training curricula and educational articles. As a family member of a gambling addict, Michael is grateful for the opportunity to raise awareness about problem gambling. 

Michael was awarded the Dr. Durand “Dewey” Jacobs Award from the California Friday Night Live Partnership in 2014 and was honored by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors in 2017 for his commitment to problem gambling prevention.
